Installed in 1875 the majestic Easton's and Anderson beam engine, with its pierced cast-iron stairs and walkways with barley-sugar twist balustrades, fills Number 2 Engine House.

Number 1 Engine House contains the major parts of the original pumping engine and a large and comprehensive collection of craftsmen's tools and a range of domestic items.
